Writer's Block Warriors Part One

Do you have that annoying phenomenon called Writer's Block?

Ahhhhh! That's terrible. Don't worry, though, I've got you. No need to worry.
One way to battle writer's block is to brainstorm, or just get off the computer or stop writing in your notebook. Play a card game. Walk outside. Go on death-defying adventures. Okay, maybe not the last one, but you get my drift. Do anything to get your mind off your novel, and an idea will strike like a lightning bolt.
But maybe it doesn't, and this is where an idea that Neil Gaiman came up with comes in. (From Nanowrimo's Brave The Page Book)
So, what is it?
One thing you can do is simply write down random nouns. Like this:
The bird. The firetruck. The duck. The birch tree. The moss. The cake. The fridge. The ceiling. The bucket. The cow. The hay. The red paint.
Now you have the basic skeleton for a book or the next part of yours. It should help, and I hope this gets you unstuck and rocketing towards the amazing end of your book!
